On the road again...the first stop in our journey toward Massachusetts is going to be Palacios, TX. All those Internet searches of Bill's paid off. He was able to find us a private park, Bayside RV Park, that was right on the Gulf of Mexico. This may be our last chance for a while to spend time at the ocean. As it turns out our park was situated in the middle of a huge fleet of shrimp boats. In addition to having water all around us, Bill was in his glory because there was a jetty steps from our RV and the fish were biting. He spent several long evenings at the tip of that jetty, fishing and talking to the other die-hard fishermen. Our first night in the park we sauntered over to the 4PM happy hour. We met several older ladies, who while sipping their one glass of wine for the entire hour, told us they had been coming to this park for years and gave us a history of the town. The next day we headed for town to see what had kept them coming back. We found their local favorite Mexican restaurant and a few fast food restaurants and not much else. Bill got out his geiger counter and walked the local beach on the outskirts of town which took all of fifteen minutes.

We have a summer course scheduled to begin June 8th. We are in crunch time and so we took turns on the computer with me working on the layout and Bill working on the graphics. Our three day visit here just wizzed by!
