Hurricane, UT - WHR - St George (ROD park)

We had a wonderful time during our week's stay in Hurricane, UT. Our ROD park, was great with a wonderful Hot Tub that we could soak in each evening while admiring the view of the mountains in the distance. We explored the scenic town of St George, located nearby, with its quaint little shops loaded with beautiful, precious stones and jewelry. After almost three years of being on the road and living in 400 sq feet we have learned how to admire all the unique offerings without feeling the need to purchase them. We spent two days in Mt Zion National Park riding the tram between the scenic locations and hiking two different trails. I thought we were going to meet our maker on one the trails. As we stood looking up at a very steep path ahead of us, trying to decide if we wanted to make the climb or head back, an elderly man double dared us to continue on, saying "if he was willing to try, certainly we should too." Although this trail wasn't earmarked as one of the most difficult ones, it had "cliffhanging" areas with a sharp decent that sent our hearts racing. I have to admit that much of the steep decent I managed by sliding down it on my butt rather than trust my legs. We ran into into that double darer at the end of the trail and he wanted to know if we were glad we had persevered? We told him we were but we wouldn't be repeating the climb any time soon.
