Las Vegas, Nevada - Thousand Trails Las Vegas

The gambling Mecca of Las Vegas, Nevada held us hostage for twelve days. Naturally, we had to walk the Las Vegas main drag with its miles and miles of casinos and restaurants. We were appalled at the porno graphic literature posted everywhere; in newspaper boxes on the sides of vehicles and just handed out as we walked along the strip. We visited the famed Circus-Circus and got there just in time to watch a high flying act. We made our token donations in two of the casinos and ate junk food at a local hot dog stand. More than enough of Las Vegas for one day! It had been our experience that most casinos offer some kind of perk for joining their players club; not in Las Vegas. Some of the casino's did offer discounts on their buffets; which of course we took advantage of. But by and large this was an expensive stop but certainly one we had to experience.....all in the name of tourism.
