Seaview, WA - Longbeach park

Our next stop was a two week stay in the Thousand Trail's park of Longbeach located in the town of Seaview, WA. The advertisement for this park included the amenity, beach access. (The add neglects to mention that the beach is a very long schlep down an overgrown dirt path) Bill got out his metal detector and we headed for the beach. I was in hog heaven with the thought of all those miles of beach stretching before me. However, before I even started my walk Bill became frustrated with the nonexistent finds registering on his detector. He told me something in the soil must be setting it off. He gave it up and went for a short walk with me instead.
Bill has been working on obtaining a membership to another travel club, Resorts of Distinction. Memberhip in this club would significantly increase the number of parks available to us through out the country. He finally found the right contact at Thousand Trails. The catch, however, was in order to get the paper work started we had to drive over 200 miles to the Whalers Rest TT park. I don't know why they couldn't have emailed the papers to us. All is not lost (not coincidentally I am sure) Bill tells me because there is a casino with a great buffet 40 miles from Whalers Rest. Naturally we stopped off on our way back home for some food, fun and a break from driving. Just think, we got to see 200 more miles of scenic countryside.

We had enjoyed our visit to the Cannon Beach Playhouse so much that we decided to return for a "repeat performance". Now playing, "Clue, The Musical". We had bought our tickets last minute and were delighted to find when we arrived at the playhouse that we actually had decent seats. The play was funny and entertaining but the singing abilities of the cast were not existent; we both decided that this made the play even more comical. All in all the whole experience was a night to remember and we would definitely go back again.

We had lots of time on our hands in this park; what to do? Check out the points of interest below.... Thank goodness we have card games to fall back on and of course there is always the Mexican Train Game. I am having trouble with my left thumb, I think the cartilage is gone! This means it is painful and time consuming to get the cards shuffled so we bought two card shufflers. The bad news is they keep breaking. We have returned three of them in a two week period.
