Klamath, CA - Klamath River RV Park

Klamouth River RV Park was only a seven day stop over. We parked our motor home at the top of a hill a short walk to the recreation center and the country store. We walked down the hill most days to browse in the country store and chat with the very personable store clerk. The walk back up the hill was challenging. On the third evening of our stay we set out for the parks advertised campfire sing along. Imagine our surprise to find we were the only people to show up. The guitar player was a good sport and sang and played his guitar for us for forty five minutes adding our requests to his own standard favorites. Part of the evenings entertainment was to have included toasted marshmallows Although he eagerly offered to cook them for us we declined, not wanting to cause him any extra work. After the no show for the sing along, we weren't sure what to expect when we arrived at the clubhouse for the Sunday morning worship service. We were delighted to discover that about twenty people had turned out to listen to the visiting preachers sermon and to sing some good old gospel tunes. After the service we enjoyed the fellowship of the other attendees along with some coffee and cookies provided by the preachers wife.
