Palm Springs, CA and Menifee, CA- Casino Mecas

We ended up on the casino circuit with our partners in crime, Mary and Lloyd Hanneberg from Boring, Oregon. The four of us visited three casinos in the last four days of our stay in Palm Springs, CA. With so much free money, complimentary tee shirts and buffet coupons available to us we simply couldn't pass it all up! Who said it "never rains in California?" It rained cats and dogs for the last few days of our stay here and we never did take the tram to the top of the mountain. We rejoined Mary and Lloyd in Menifee, CA at TT Wilderness. Here we visited a railroad museum and hopped on board a few vintage trains. This was right up Lloyd's alley since he spent his career in the railroad business. We all headed for a presentation by The Colordo River Adventures group. They offered free money and gifts. The trip included a visit to the town of Julian. Mary and Lloyd had been here many times and didn't want us to pass it up. The town was so quaint and the home of "Mom's" and her renowned baked apple! We found a wonderful bead store and Bill and I stocked up. The day ended with guess what another visit to a casino offering discounts on a buffet and gambling money. We will forever be grateful to our friends for teaching us to play hand and foot...we have wiled away many hours with this great game.
