Thanksgiving,Yuma, AZ - Araby Acreas

We spent eight full weeks at Araby Acres, Yuma, AZ. The park had an exercise room, library, hot tub, pool and a very active clubhouse. We enjoyed the company of the 5:30 AM coffee klatchers and had a great time discussing US politics, health care and other CNN hot topics with the Canadian snowbirds.
Thanksgiving in the park consisted of a pot luck dinner. There were about twelve tables of eight set up in the recreation center. Each table was responsible for providing food for their own table to augment the turkey, stuffing and potatoes provided by the park. Volunteering is always a good way to get to know people so Bill and I volunteered to serve the potatoes and stuffing to the 100 plus people who showed up for dinner. Bill's contribution to our table was cranberry relish and winter squash. The down side to the day was Bill's set of car/house keys got locked in the truck. My keys were in the RV....Oh well that is why we pay to have road side service. Within an hour our Camping World Roadcare company had us into our car and the RV. The plus side is it was a beautiful day to be locked outside in a lounge chair!
