Here are Marcia and Bill in their roles of Miss Vesta and the reporter during a Ghost Walk which was performed for members of the Communal Studies Association while we were volunteering at the Koreshan State Historic Site in Estero, FL. The weather was great and everyone seemed to enjoy our little skit. This was not our only contribution. Marcia made the centerpieces for a dinner that was held here for these people and prepared coffee, tea, and other items for breaks which they held between meetings. Bill was up to his old tricks in the kitchen and made nearly 300 muffins for them, 175 Koreshan cookies and about 15 dozen Koreshan dinner rolls.
The members of this association were a hoot. All of them were highly educated and have dedicated their lives to becoming familiar with all sorts of communal societies which have existed on this planet. One of them was a member of the Jonestown, South Africa cult where over 300 members of her group either committed suicide or were poisoned.
We are planning to go on a cruise later in the month, around the 20th. It seems like an easy thing to do, but we are getting bogged down in the logistics of it all. We want to visit Marcia's dad in Massachusetts after that, and we need to determine what we want to do between now and the cruise. There's also the little problem of what to do with our huge rig and the cat.
