Tropical Storm/Hurricane(?) Fay - It looks as if this storm is supposed to hit Florida's Gulf Coast on Tuesday, so what a better thing for us to do than to go camping close to the place where the storm is expected to make landfall? We have reservations for Tuesday and Wednesday at W.P. Franklin National Park. We then plan to travel about 30 miles inland to spend Thursday and Friday nights at Ortona National Park. Our campsites at both parks are within feet of their respective rivers. We should be able to watch the tidal waves form before they come ashore to engulf our RV and wash us out to sea. Oh what fun! We purchased a generator for the rig yesterday. The RV can hold about 60 gallons of fresh water, so we should be pretty much self sufficient as long as we don't get blown away. If you don't see any more posts here, they you'll know we are probably goners.
