Blaine, WA - Birchbay TT park

We have spent a great deal of time over the last few weeks working on our National Geographic earring and beaded pin inventory. The little harbor town of Blaine is holding a street festival, Drayton Harbor Days, on August 7th and we will be in the TT park of Birchbay in Blaine during that time. We made arrangements through the Blaine Chamber of Commerce to set up a booth on Main Street, along with many other vendors, to sell our jewelry. The day turned out to be rainy even though Carol at the Chamber assured us that it had never rained in the last eight years on the day this event. We were glad that we had decided to heed the weather forecast of 40% chance of rain and invest in a canopy. Many of the locals, undaunted by the rain, showed up to attend the scheduled activities that included: ferry boat rides, a sailing regatta, treasure hunt, a homemade raft race and live music. We ate all kinds of great "junk food", kettle corn, hot dogs, coffee and muffins and had a great time yakking it up with our customers and other vendors. At the end of the day we were delighted with our sales; 31 pairs of earrings and a bracelet..,just imagine what our sales might have been on a sunny day!

Thanks for getting me back to your blog. It is so interesting to say the least and boy no grass grows under your feet. Do you fall into bed exhausted? :)
One question --did you go over to LKSP when you made the trip back to Cape Coral?
Keep the blog going!!
